As industry has moved from hard-wired systems to software control, I have continually learned new skills and improved my knowledge, maintaining a state-of-the-art understanding of a wide variety of technical issues. I have been very fortunate to work with many skilled engineers and technicians, leading and designing diverse projects. I have worked on project management form mainframes to microprocessors systems, as well as hardware and software design. In industries as diverse as plastics, paper, food and steel manufacture, software development for cable TV systems, network management, translation services and electronic medical systems.
C/C++, VB, Java, HTML, VBA, XML, PHP, PL/M, REXX, Perl, TCL, AIX, MVS, VM, VMS, LINUX, OS/2, NT, Win98, Win2000, WinXP, Win 7, Sun Solaris, AIX, VBscript, Lotus Notes, Palm OS, NSBASIC, all of the .NET platforms.
Designed and coded programs for the Palm OS using NS Basic, also designed and coded a encryption program for MS Windows using VC++. Designed a web site to sell these programs,
( http://www.convertPalm.com ) using PHP and mySQL. Consultant on a Palm program for use by mortgage loan consultants, with all the VA/FHA/CONV loan rules and calculations sold by XINNIX.com in Atlanta.
Designed and presentations of client training for software internationalization engineering. Helped clients with the issues related to the processing of Far Eastern, double-byte languages and European languages. Designed tools to support a multi-phase internationalization process to reduce the complexity and improve quality for clients marketing to worldwide software markets. Presented internationalization classes for LISA (Localization Industry Standards Association) in Amsterdam and Madrid Spain.

Many clients including but not limited to: IBM, Tivoli, Platinum, Universal Instruments, Caterpillar, DataColor International, Wayfarer Communications, I-Chat, SkyTeller, System One Corp (part of EDS), Daly & Wolcott, Cable Systems Group, Intertainer, WestLaw, CPI Corp, DataMirror, PostalSoft, MPM Manufacturing, Genelco Insurance, SunSoft Corp (Sun Systems), AllTel Systematics , McAfee Associates, LionBridge, Xinix, and General Dynamics.
Part of a team that internationalized the IBM PC support web site
( http://www.convertPalm.com/ibm/ibm.html ) and localization of about 17,000 pages into 8 languages, English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese. Internationalized C++ CGI and HTML code used to send e-mail to help desks in 8 languages. All code runs on the AIX platform.
Ported a Forth interpreter from DOS to windows MFC/C++ this code was used as part of a real time motion control system.
Designed and coded a Java applet and servlet that exchange XML coded JDBC data over an encoded TCP/IP port.
Developed an interpreter for ISPF tagged mainframe files that provides a Win98 WYSIWYG display for Japanese translators. Also designed and coded a HTML tagger and untagger for ISPF files to show the translators what strings needed translation. This work was in VC++ and MFC.
Designed a Lotus Notes based system for internationalization compliance reporting for complex software systems. This system contains over 200 rules and generates reports in RTF that can run hundreds of pages in length.
